If I Stay

I'm half stuck between life and death. Clinging onto dear life. I need to see the broad daylight once again. I want to be able to grip my loved one's hands once again. I want to see happily ever after.

That's only...If I Stay.

Mia is stuck. After a horrible car accident that included her family, she has been injured severely. Her body broken, spiritually and physically. She is stuck. Stuck between living and dying.

Dying would result in seeing her family again. Living would result in eternal coma and pain, but seeing many of her loved ones. Being able to see her boyfriend Adam, to go to school once again, start a life again, a new freshly wiped slate.

Which side will Mia choose?

There have been so many issues like this that are dealt with in the world. Losing someone would break a family's heart, but have they ever tried to look beyond and wonder how the person will live after the great big scar of eternity, a disease, a sickness, a plague, whatever it is. Would that person want to know that one time in their life they were stuck between death and life?

No one would want to be in that particular situation. I don't like to revert back to the past, but all I will say is that once my entire family was pulled into such a situation. Forgetting isn't easy. And it never will be for the person who is affected. A scar stays, it may fade a bit, but forever it will stay.

Forever.

Child Days

Hold me tightly
Oh sister
Oh mother
Hold me tightly

For I believe my body
Has mustered together
My last breaths

Oh sister
Oh mother
Please let all of this
Fade away

Oh sister
Oh mother
This is just a
Nightmare

You will be awake
Tomorrow
But I will
Not.
He's Just Him

Salman doesn't need
This and that
He doesn't need
All of this

Salman is just him
He's everything
In the world

He keeps every
Secret
To the depths
Of his soul

He understands
That not everything
Will always be okay

But that this cloudy day
May just
Fade away

But Salman
Just needs
Me.

The knot

Saad taught me
How to become
Someone much more
Unique

Much more different
He taught me how
To count the stars
One by one

He taught me
That every star had feeling
That they fell
Because they could no longer
Take it

He taught me
To be free
That nothing in this world
Is impossible
For me.

Destroyed Hearts

Children have fragile hearts
For they are like
Flower petals

Delicate
Yet soft
The may be ripped
May be torn

For tell my daughter
She is as these petals
So don't cry

For every tear you shed
Makes me lose hope
Makes me scream
In the inside.
Saad
The man next to him
Suffers less than he
But he turns
And smiles at him
"Sir, sir, why are you crying?
For everything will be alright."

The man is old
Made it to his sixties
He is weeping
While Saad is smiling
He has made it to his
Twenties
But he does not
Shed a single
Tear.

*~*Grits in Life*~*

Hello Salman
He knows that I am
Here
But he is
There

He knows that I am
Crying
But he is
Smiling

The leukemia has kicked
Erupted
Yet he still laughs for
Joy
He has erupted joy that is
Needed

He has
Hope
That there will be a
Tomorrow.
